A Firepup^® Fire Safety Story

The “Home Fire Escape Plan” mini book provides an easy and effective way for parents/caregivers to help young children understand basic fire safety and what they can do to help prevent fires. The book has a simple story format for easy reading and discussion. The “Home Fire Escape Plan” mini book features kids from two families who are eager to share the fire safety knowledge they have learned at school, at home.

Audio Narration and Activity/Discussion Sheets*

“Home Fire Escape Plan” features a QR (Quick Response) Code on the front cover. Firefighters, teachers, parents/adults, and kids can scan the QR Code with a phone or tablet QR reader to hear the story. A QR Code file appears on your screen and you play it just like any audio file, over and over again. You can hear the story told by Firepup^®, and a narrator. Listening to the story while reading along encourages a deeper learning experience for all kids. In addition, activity/discussion sheets can also be downloaded and printed for home use only.
